The Birches at Ben Eoin Country Inn is located on Route 4, east of St. Peter’s and west of Sydney. The Inn overlooks the Bras d’Or Lakes and lies in the shadow of Ben Eoin, meaning Jonathan’s Mountain or Hill.
We are only 20 minutes from Sydney, less than 10 minutes from Rita’s Tea Room, and 5 minutes from a sandy public beach on the Bras d’Or Lakes. The Fortress of Louisbourg is about an hour’s drive from Ben Eoin, and the Newfoundland Ferry dock at North Sydney can be reached by car in 30 minutes. From the Inn, a trip to Sydney Airport will take about 45 minutes.
